Life can change on the turn of a dime.
It is with sadness that I had withdrawn from my City Council race.
And it is with great joy that I request formally that Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez announce her candidacy for United States President for the year of 2024.
We need intelligent, compassionate leadership that comes from the working class. As the anniversary of the Jan. 6 Insurrection passes us, it is clear that our country needs solutions, not stagnation, from our electeds. AOC and “the Squad” have the best solutions for the fissures that have erupted over the past several years.
I want to live in their future.
Thank you for your support. I look forward to our next year together,
A BOLD NEW VISION
Now more than ever, we need leaders in every level of government who come from the working class and who are dedicated to fighting inequality and injustice. Let’s build a just, robust country, and elect the best leader in the Free Western World to do just that.
Let’s hope she accepts.
A BOLD NEW VISION
Now more than ever, we need leaders in every level of government who come from the working class and who are dedicated to fighting inequality and injustice. We don’t have much time: we’re going for the Hail Mary. What choice do we have?
I’m a local writer, and for the past seven years, I’ve seen the writing on the wall. Police armed like soldiers, given a license to kill. Laws written by landlords. Day after day, season after season, climate records burning away. This is a system that cannot, and will not, be sustained.
This is a system that could work, but will not work, because it shuts out the voices of the meekest; the voices we need most.
We need a bigger megaphone.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the biggest, baddest, LOUDEST of the Justice Democrats, an organization I modeled my City Council run on.
What is a Justice Democrat?
Well, consider them like a regular Democrat. Except that one person is about 35-40 Democrats packed into one. One person, in one room. And sometimes we get five of them in one room.
Imagine my excitement at a Justice Democrat as President.
Who can be a Justice Democrat?
DON’T ACCEPT CORPORATE DONATIONS.
There was a Justice Republican in 2016. And I would vote for a Justice Republican. But he didn’t win his primary. Corporate money drowned out his voice.
Which is why it’s important we support our best candidates any way we can: financially; volunteering time; and sharing our excitement for a real, sustainable future, with those we love and who love us.
Because when they’re in office, they’re our seat at the table. Call one. Talk to them. Ask them questions.
Can you do that with your Representative and Senator?
Trust me. You’ll see.

It’s almost time. Can you feel it yet?
